Tree of 12-15 m. tall and pyramidal habit, perennial leaves, scaly 2 mm. long, blue-green color and smooth reddish bark. Very rustic species that vegetates well on limestone soils and has rapid growth. Sowing: Direct winter/autumn sowing. Sow in late fall, winter or early spring seedbeds. Transplant in late fall or early winter.
