Perennial plant 30-40 cm tall, small, lanceolate leaves. It emits a large number of stolons both on the surface and below the ground. It is used in infusions and for the extraction of essential oils used in pharmacy, cosmetics and perfumery. Sow in spring and summer, preferably in summer as it develops better when the days are brighter. Grow in a slightly damp block. The leaves are used green or dried in the shade. Regular watering, especially in summer, with soil that retains moisture. although it does not tolerate waterlogging as it contributes to the development of fungi. Water a couple of times before cutting for the first time and every ten days before subsequent cuts. Peppermint can be harvested from mid-spring to early fall, when the plant begins to flower. Mint stems should be cut in the morning, after the dew has evaporated. The ideal is to do it shortly before they bloom, avoiding doing it on humid or rainy days or in the hottest hours.
